Individual counselling for adults, children, & youth
I offer individual counselling to adults, youth, and children (5 years of age and older) in person in Squamish and virtually to residents across BC. I support all genders and cultures. I encourage you to reach out for a 15-minute phone or video call consultation prior to booking a session to discuss your therapeutic needs, any questions you may have, and to see if we’re the right fit for each other. “Every human has a true genuine authentic self. The trauma is the disconnection from it. The healing is the reconnection with it.”

Adult Counselling
Whether you are undergoing an emotional challenge, have experienced trauma, are pursuing personal growth and clarity, or the many other reasons you may be seeking counselling, I’m glad you’re here and are exploring this step in your well-being. It’s important to find the right fit in counselling, as the therapeutic relationship has been known to be the most critical component of active change in one’s therapeutic process. If I am not the right fit for you, I appreciate your process in finding someone who is and I can help guide you with this when possible. You don’t have to navigate the uncertainty, trauma, overwhelm, or emotional distress on your own. We heal in authentic connection.
I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship, client choice, and client empowerment. I encourage creating collaborative goals, which we can establish and re-visit together at any point to ensure we’re meeting your therapeutic needs. For EMDR, I offer the use of tappers or bilateral eye movements.
Child & Youth Counselling
I work with children (5 years+) and youth. The primary areas I support children/youth with are: experiencing difficulties with emotion regulation; undergoing challenges at school or with peers; experiencing anxiety, stress, or low mood; engaging in self-harm; and/or are experiencing difficult or traumatic family dynamics (i.e. separation/divorce, high conflict home, or family violence).
An emphasis is placed on expressive counselling in my work with children and youth. Expressive counselling includes art, play, sandtray, and other creative activities. Traditional talk therapy methods are incorporated, while being mindful of the age and stage of development of the client in my therapeutic approach. Psycho-education (i.e. tools or practical exercises) are also weaved in the sessions. I center the therapeutic relationship, client choice, and client empowerment. I inform the parents/guardians of overall themes of sessions, while respecting the child/youth’s confidentiality (*except for in cases where I am legally bound to break confidentiality). I offer EMDR, in the form of tappers or bilateral eye movements.
“Play is the child’s symbolic language of self-expression.”
